My Impulse today was to recapture a great moment when I was in Paris with my mother having profiteroles on the Ile de la Cite. My quant professor from grad school took me to lunch near my Alma mater, NYU, and we shared a serving of profiteroles that was divine. Not once did we talk calories. The pastry was perfect; crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, not over or under done. The chocolate did not come out of a jar and not too sweet. The vanilla ice cream was made with the Madagascar real-stuff. Are you drooling yet? Yes, it was that good.

I’m not an impulse person. But I can learn to be.
